Why
meridianEMR
meridianEMR is focused on providing physicians
software tools to improve patient care and to enhance the economics of their practice.
The meridianEMR application and the mXchange network technology allow a physician to operate in an environment with
secure access to a broad range of patient information and interoperability. We have the full range of technical and financial
resources necessary to support our current client base as well as continue its growth in the post-HITECH competitive environment
of performance standards and financial incentives for the providers.
The major focus of any EHR
should be assisting the physician in providing better and more complete patient care. The information management capabilities
of the meridianEMR application and mXchange allow you to access patient information rapidly, safely and completely from anywhere
you have wireless or cellular access. Your practice will be able to respond faster to patient requests and communications.
An immediate source of hard return on investment will be savings in transcription costs.
Additionally,
the meridianEMR application and mXchange allow for rapid and efficient data entry from a wide range of sources such as: staff,
laboratories, and even patients through a portal or smart device. Software and interfaces assist in turning data entry into
discrete items that are stored, logged and rapidly available for analysis. meridianEMR’s electronic prescribing capability
is embedded in the application, and was developed such that it does not require any third party software or related software
charges.
Proper coding is the critical revenue driver for a practice. Most physicians do not select
proper codes because of the concern that their documentation cannot support it. The meridianEMR application suggests proper
CPT coding based on the documented encounter and HCFA coding guidelines. Our coding logic is officially reviewed and endorsed
by Dr. Ray Painter of PRS Coding (www.prscoding.com) under a multi-year agreement. Our system supports both 1995 and 1997
coding guidelines.
Our application also features an integrated and intelligent workflow that contains
all of the information that requires the physicians attention. Such information includes appointments, calls, encounters (in
Progress, for Review and Recovered), images, labs for review and signature, medication refills and alerts, plan items, office
mail, and open charts. All charts in the workflow are organized by category and within each category by date. Items that need
immediate attention are flagged and always appear at the top of the category. These include emergency situations as well as
images and labs that are marked as abnormal.
